We got the opportunity to chat with Marius and Hannah Kay, founders of The Recharge Hub, a wellness and fitness facility in York, UK, to learn more about how TeamUp helps them grow.
We'd love to learn a little more about you and The Recharge Hub. How did you get started? What do you love most about the wellness industry?
We are York’s First Wellness & Fitness Facility, opened in September 2024 with the mission of bringing affordable and inclusive wellness and fitness to our community. Our approach to wellness is flexible and made for you - we offer pay-as-you-go and packs for our wellness services and a membership/day pass option for our fitness services. We saw the only options for wellness in the current industry being on a high-ticket membership basis so we wanted to bring it to more of an affordable level and on a more flexible basis.
How long have you been using TeamUp? What inspired you to start using our software?
We’ve been using TeamUp since we started and one of our founders was using TeamUp for about 18 months prior in their other business as a PT. We had conversations with other platforms but we felt that TeamUp could bring the versatility and range of services we required being a multifunction business. Being able to offer a variety of service options and functions so our members have full freedom to use our services how they wish.
How has the Point of Sale (POS) system helped your business? What impact has this feature had?
We find the POS system is quicker and more efficient when processing orders with multiple items or sessions. We can visibly see the items via their pictures and this also makes for a more time efficient service to be delivered - ensuring our customers are happy too. Our team is now processing around 50% of transactions via POS!
What are the greatest benefits of having a card reader that integrates with the Point of Sale?
We have always accepted in person card payments. The integration has just made it more convenient.
Are there any other features you find particularly helpful? Why?
Our custom branded app - being able to promote our brand through a streamlined service such as the App Store, allows an easier customer journey for the members. Having everything at their fingertips ensures no one finds it difficult to purchase from us.
What advice would you give to a new business owner in the industry?
Put the hard work in and get your systems in place and they’ll help you out in the long run.
Is there anything else you'd like to share about your experience with TeamUp?
The Customer team is always understanding and super quick at replying and relaying the feedback to the necessary teams.
