I highly recommend TeamUp. I think one of the functionality of it is very good. It's very simple for me to have like this is the first system which I have experience with for making bookings and it is all self-taught. You guys also have great resources on your site, so your how-tos are great. And then also if I ever have a question, if I can't find something on the how-to you have that chat option, which I've used a lot. And then the response from you guys is always super quick.
Why I chose TeamUp's CrossFit management software for my CrossFit box
Me and my husband Matt, we run across that box in Surrey, in England, and it's called CrossFit 2012. The reason for that name is that that is the year that both me and my husband found CrossFit and started to train in that way. With our box, we started out our affiliate in early 2014, and we began our affiliate by renting a studio space and sort of different hours in the week, and we slowly realized that we needed to give our members a fuller timetable. So then the hunt for a CrossFit space was on. And that is actually very tricky where we are in Surrey to find a space that is suitable.
And so what we did was we moved to a marquee which was a temporary structure on a sports club site. And whilst we were in the marquee, we began building our box. So our box is based on the underside of a rugby grandstand. So where you have the tiered seats, we boxed in and we built our gym underneath. And then most recently last year, because of covid-19 and being locked down, we actually built an outdoor box. So we've extended our footprint at the foot club that we're at and we tagged on an outdoor box to our indoor one.
Choosing the best CrossFit box management software
We've been with TeamUp from the get-go, so from early 2014, then there wasn't when I was looking for online booking software there wasn't that much competition. There was not that much to choose from. And so I think, really my decision was between Mindbody, which is a popular software system here in the U.K. and TeamUp. I think TeamUp just worked more for CrossFit classes. And I found it functionally easier for me to use from the get-go compared to others that I tried out.
Being a CrossFit affiliate to me is a luxury service. And with that service, you need to provide a booking system which is practical, easy to use. And for me, using the back office needs to be efficient. And so I think it is essential for any CrossFit affiliate to use an online system and one that works well because otherwise you're just going to create more work for yourself and the sort of service that you provide to your members won't be as seamless.
I highly recommend TeamUp. I think one, the functionality of it is very good. It's very simple for me to have like this is the first system which I have experience with for making bookings and it is all self-taught. And then also if I ever have a question, if I can't find something on the how-to you have that chat option, which I've used a lot. And then the response from you guys is always super quick. So I think that's my three main loves of TeamUp. Those are my three top tips.
