Stephanie Jannati, owner of Bootcamp SE16, shares why she uses TeamUp to run her outdoor bootcamps in the London area and how using the flexibility of the system she was able to organise her memberships to include both outdoor and online classes.

One of the things I love the most about TeamUp is that it supports both sides of the business, the outdoor and online business. I've been able to set the system up so that our members have a much more customer-friendly experience where they don't get confused if they're an online member without seeing outdoor classes, or if they're an outdoor member without seeing online classes.

Why I use TeamUp to run my outdoor and online classes

My name is Stephanie Jannati, and I run a business called Bootcamp SE16, which started back in 2013. So we started off as an outdoor bootcamp and I have been running it for nearly 8 years. And started the pandemic we diversified and set up an online studio. And now we have an official hybrid business where we have members who are solely online members and members who are outdoor members and some who have a membership for each side of the business.

So I use TeamUp's bootcamp management software to run my hybrid business and at the start, I thought I would need two accounts to do it. I actually did set up two accounts. I set up one for online and one for outdoors. I realized soon after that the way I could do it was to split it up in terms of membership types.

So I created two different membership types, one for outdoor clients and one for online clients, and then just set the system up so that outdoor members could only see outdoor sessions and online members could only see online sessions so that it didn't confuse the customer in terms of what sessions that they could book in for.

I've managed to set the system up so that there are specific membership types for specific sessions so that, you know, it's just a more sort of clean and effective system and the customer-friendly system as well.

Stephanie's favourite key features in TeamUp's bootcamp management software

And one of the best functions of the TeamUp recently incorporated was the Zoom function. So prior to that, it was quite difficult getting a link to a member. But now it's very, very simple. They log in through TeamUp and click an open video button, which just opens up that class.

And it's great because when you use a booking system, one of the reasons why you see the system is to simplify the customer experience like it's all in the customer experience. If it's easy for them to use, they're going to use it, they're going to book, they're going to use your booking system and they're going to adhere to it.

And so if it's so simple for them to just click a button to access the class, it's a great selling feature for when they sign up for your membership. So, yeah, it's so it supports both online and outdoors in a very very effective way.

Why fitness instructors should use bootcamp booking software to organise their classes and sessions

If you're looking to use TeamUp, the first thing I would look at would be your business processes, what you'd like to use it for, and how that's going to help the business. It's very difficult without looking at the person's business in question, but for me, the foundation of a business is knowing how many clients I've got coming through my door and how to service each and every one of them.

But I'm not going to know that without a booking system. If you want an effective business that is going to perform you need a booking system is the one thing your business needs from a business perspective, but also a customer perspective as well.

It just makes you look a little bit more professional than just the pay as you go, cash in hand bootcamp or cash in hand studio. We're now living in a cashless society. We live in a society where it's very digital and a booking system is, you know, it's just it's a normal thing for most fitness businesses.

And I think it's probably the least that some clients would expect when working with a facility of any kind, even if you're just a personal trainer with just personal trainer clients, I don't mean it just as a personal trainer you know.

What I mean is in terms of if you are a personal trainer and servicing people on a one to one basis, or whether you are a studio, no matter how what size and you are servicing multi-clients, you know, lots and lots of clients, or if you're an outdoor bootcamp, no matter what sort of business you've got, you need a system that not only is just for the customer and allows them to book, but it also enables you to keep an eye on numbers in your reporting. For me, it's a no brainer. I've got to have the system in place. Otherwise, I'd be lost.
