The Glofox alternative with consistent customer support and fully functioning features
TeamUp and Glofox each provide management software for businesses in the health and fitness sector. With a number of software options on the market, it can be daunting trying to find a system that works well for you and your customers.
We aim to break down the main differences between TeamUp and Glofox to help you determine which management software could work best for you and your customers.
We're not unbiased, but we're pragmatic. We'll be as objective as possible giving you transparency into both our and Glofox's tools, features and customer service.
A full and transparent comparison
Both TeamUp and Glofox offer similar services to their customers. They provide them with the tools and features to streamline their businesses including a booking system, built-in integrations, flexibility to offer multiple membership plans, and ways to prevent common fit biz challenges such as no-shows or late payments. However, when comparing the two, there are noticeable differences that can have a serious impact on the way you run your business.
In this comparison, we highlight those differences so you have all the information to determine which software works best for your management and administrative needs. We used independent review data from GetApp to provide a statistical reference of customer opinion.

TeamUp vs Glofox
Choose a management software system that guarantees efficient and timely payments from your clients and provides you with unlimited customer support.
Reliable features that help your business grow. At TeamUp, we want your business to benefit from what we have to offer from the moment you start your 30-day free trial. At sign up, you are given a step by step guide with detailed instructions on how to use all of the tools and features in our system. You'll learn how to streamline your admin, organise and set up your calendar, collect and schedule payments with the best payment processors on the market, and set your customer site to begin accepting bookings. What we can promise you right off the bat is that your trial will not be wasted with finding incomplete tools and features that won't serve you much less get the job done. You'll find our system is easy to use and built to work for you and your business. And we know this because our current customers are involved in the testing process of each and every new feature we deliver.
Fickle features that don't function correctly. Glofox's former customers have said that during their demos with customer service, they were aware that certain features were still in development, but the overall product seemed to be what they were looking for. However, one customer has said that new features continue to be released before problems with current features have been fixed. When issues are reported to Glofox, former customers have stated that they are often waiting for a response, or are simply given a workaround rather than a definitive solution.
“New features are constantly added while existing features are broken [...] Features seem half-finished while others outside the core business are instead being focused on. The new product announcements usually don't seem relevant. I've reported bugs like dates jumping when editing/saving a Course description, and told by Support that I'm wrong.”

Problems with payments
Payment solutions to help your business grow. At TeamUp, our software includes the top payment integrations Stripe, GoCardless, Auth.net, and Braintree among others. These services are proven to be reliable and offer the safest methods for payment scheduling and collection, not to mention offer the lowest fees. You can also keep track of your payments on your dashboard and reports. You'll be told when one of your client's payments has left their account, when it's in transit, and then when it's in your account. Keeping things transparent, simple, and most of all, secure, is at the core of what we do.
Double-charged or not charged at all. When it comes to flaws in the system, the most common problem mentioned by customers is often centred around the payments from their customers and they're not just talking about receiving money. A number of customers have reported that their customers have been double charged for their memberships, while others haven't been charged at all. It goes without saying that a reliable payment system is vital for running your business smoothly. When investing in management software you should be confident that your system will help you avoid this kind of problem.
Comparing consistency in customer service
Personable, approachable, and guaranteed consistency. TeamUp's customer success team is smaller in comparison to that of competitors, but the lack in numbers is hardly something to worry about. What this means is that you'll have an account manager who knows the ins and outs of your business and a team to support you with all of your questions and needs. Our team is there to help you in every way, while you have the options to get in touch whenever you need. Just a phone call, chat, or email away, feel secure knowing that the person answering on the other end knows you and your business.
Like a box of chocolates; you never know who you're going to get. While Glofox customers appreciate that they have access to customer support, that wasn't always enough. Their positive demeanour and enthusiasm towards helping their customers often led them to believe their issues would be solved no problem, but this wasn't the case. Former customers were not as pleased with the time it took for their queries to be answered and the inconsistency of answers from different members of the support team. Mentions of bugs taking too long to get fixed or having to re-explain the problem to each person they talked to create a frustrating experience and lessened the value of the service for those customers.
Pricing and affordability: pay per feature vs a flat rate
A flat rate with no hidden costs. With TeamUp, our pricing is simple and laid out for you to see before you even sign up. Starting at £30/€32/$35 per month for businesses with 50 active members or less, you have access to everything we offer. If we bring out new features, you get them added to your subscription automatically. As your business grows, your price scales up to £269/€284/$309 for 600+ to unlimited customers, meaning your subscription only ever becomes better in value. We don’t have premium packages because we want to see your business grow, and if we add tools and features, we want you to use them. If you exceed 50 customers or scale down to 50 or less, the price is automatically altered, so you can carry on with your day-to-day without having to worry about changing your subscription or paying the incorrect amount each month.
High prices from the start. Glofox’s pricing is based on features in a similar fashion to Mindbody. With subscription fees starting at $129 per month (if you pay for the year up-front), or rising to $309 per month (again, if you pay for the year up-front), for smaller business owners it presents a high price for an admin solution. If you hope to make use of the features and tools that make Glofox stand out from other management software providers, you have to pay more for premium versions of the app. Something that Glofox offers that TeamUp currently does not offer is a custom app. This is appealing to some businesses but it costs a further $109 per month.
TeamUp testimonials: see what our customers have to say
TeamUp is widely considered one of the best alternatives to other management software solutions. We want you to feel confident that making the switch over to TeamUp is the right choice for you and your business and with a proven track record of relieved customers who have left their previous providers, the testimonials speak for themselves.
“I would still choose this software over any other that I have come across, first for affordable pricing, second for customer service and last but not least functionality which gives me 85% of what I'd like and matches the functionality of any other competitor I've tried. No complaints!”
Natalie, Mampara Productions
“Excellent. The system reduces our admin time to less than half an hour a day. The dashboard makes it easy to identify new customers, payments going through, and any issues such as failed payments too. Everything else is automated, with customers also able to buy or upgrade additional memberships too.”
Siobhan, CrossFit Skirmish Ltd.
