We have found we've been able to customize it to be exactly what we need. It's simple. We're able to adjust class schedules, use the reporting features to determine what our most popular classes are, class times adjust those schedules to what our patients would like to see, send out handouts before class, video recommendations after class. It's been amazing for us and I would highly recommend it for anyone that has a similar program.

My name is Sierra Miller. I am a program director for our non-surgical weight loss program (Tucson Weight Loss Surgery) or Pound of Cure Weight Loss Program. We are started underneath a bariatric surgery practice that started just about a year ago. Our two surgeons, Dr. Guillermo Higa and Dr. Matthew Weiner have joined forces last October with their 35 plus years of geriatric surgery experience to build a very successful practice within that we have found a higher need for quite a bit of nutritional support and regular follow-up with these patients that are going through a major life change.

And within that, we realized a huge need for regular follow-up with the patients that maybe our practitioners do not have the time to provide with the amount of patients that we have. And that led us to creating this pretty comprehensive nutritional program as well as a non-surgical weight loss program. And in thinking about that, the amount of patients that we wanted to provide this to has grown to a point that we needed to think of a solution to have access to more patients also in the middle of a pandemic, how do we do that? How do we deliver them that material? And so we began brainstorming a little bit and essentially that led us to finding a gym software that fit our needs. That seemed to be the best offer to go with.

We found one and we played with it a little bit, but it didn't really seem to be meeting all of our needs. One of our surgeons, Dr. Weiner actually stuck his nose to the grindstone and really dug into gym software and did a lot of research and that led him to TeamUp.

He was so excited when he found the software, honestly, that we almost implemented it immediately. It was so easy to set up and it offered us what we needed to be able to reach all of our patients regularly. Really it has just offered us the opportunity to engage our patients on a daily basis. We have one registered dietician that runs this entire nutrition program and it gives us the opportunity to allow her to have several group classes per day, but also to make sense and one-on-one appointments that those patients can book individually. It allows her to stay on track with that really busy schedule that might not be realistic in more of a clinic setting. It's also giving our patients the opportunity to meet other patients that are going through similar circumstances that they might not be able to do for convenience purposes. Also during the middle of a pandemic, it's not necessarily safe for us to be meeting together, so them getting that immediate support. And then just having the access to customize their experience and how much nutritional support they're really looking for.
