Why I switched my Pilates business to TeamUp

And what I also love about it is if you have an idea or something that there's not on or hasn't been available before in the system, then the developers are willing to listen to you and add that which I've noticed over the years that a lot of features on that weren't there, to begin with. So I highly recommend it.

My name is Wendy and I own Gaia Pilates. I am a Pilates teacher and I teach group mat classes in and around the Peckham area, so Southeast London. I first came across TeamUp when I owned my own studio. So before lockdown, I owned a studio, a yoga and Pilates studio with a friend of mine. And so we opened that in 2012. We started using a different vendor. One of the big vendors out there and because we had used it in other studios around that I had been teaching with. And we found that, we were quite a small studio, and this particular vendor was based over in the States and every time he had a problem with it, we'd have to call the States. We found that support wasn't that great. You had a lot of functionality that we didn't need as a sort of smaller boutique studio, and the costs just kept going up every month like it was ridiculous.

So one of our yoga teachers, Lucyoga, she recommended TeamUp to us and I think around 2017, we swapped over to that mainly because we just needed. I think the main reason we swapped is because the support was so much better because you could actually call up someone that was there just around the corner. And so that's when we first came to TeamUp when we had the studio. Because unfortunately, we had to close the studio, so I just branched often do my own Pilates teaching business from that. So we went to teaching online straight away. And the way that TeamUp literally just generates the Zoom meetings for you, you don't have to do anything, which is just fantastic and when you're teaching quite a few classes a day and have a lot of different clients just to be able to, they book in themselves and they generate the meeting that took off so much, took up so much pressure.

And then as lockdown went on and you could see more and more people offering the videos on demand, and I really wanted to start setting it up. But to try and find a platform I found it quite difficult and also trying to integrate that with the booking system anyway. So now the fact that you can do that straight through TeamUp is amazing and it's so easy to use. So just having to record what I've been doing is just recording the Zoom sessions that I've been teaching. And it's so easy just to link that up to the TeamUp page. And also I've been recording sessions other than that. And again, just so easy just to think that there's no kind of downloading times. It's just instant and so easy for the clients to access as well because it's so used to using the TeamUp booking system to introduce another platform can be a bit confusing. So to have it all in one place is just amazing. Yeah, it's great. I'm on all these Pilates, teachers, forums, and everyone's always asking what kind of booking system to use.

I always recommend TeamUp. I think initially the transition from using whatever vendor that you were using before or even if you weren't using anything, I find that the support at TeamUp is great because it really supports you through how to set it up. When I transition from the other vendor, I didn't really have to do anything TeamUp did it pretty much for me. And really quickly. And then just ease of use. It really takes a lot of the, most of the admin out of the way. You didn't have to do anything. And vendors, my clients have always really loved it. And I think it's really important that the clients have a very easy, simple way booking to this. So there are no complaints either.

But yeah, I think I mean, I've been using it for four years now and I've never had a single complaint. So I would think the recommendation is just incredibly easy to use. The support is always there, very quick to go. And what I also love about it is if you have an idea or something that there's not on or hasn't been available before in the system, then the developers are willing to listen to you and add that which I've noticed over the years that a lot of features on that weren't there, to begin with. So I highly recommend it.
