Trial Session – Terms & Conditions
1. Trial Session & Validity
The Trial Session is personal, non-transferable and valid for one eligible class only.
The Trial Session must be used within one month from the date of purchase. Any unused Trial Session will automatically expire after this period and cannot be extended, transferred, refunded or exchanged.
All Trial Sessions must be booked in advance and are subject to class availability, age requirements, programme suitability and coach approval where applicable.
Purchasing a Trial Session does not create a membership agreement and does not guarantee acceptance into membership.
2. Trial Session Fee
The Trial Session fee is €10 and is non-refundable.
The fee contributes towards the administration of the Trial Session and, where applicable, the provision, preparation and cleaning of Academy training equipment and uniform made available to the participant.
3. €10 Account Credit After Joining
If, after completing the Trial Session, the participant decides to purchase an eligible Veras Academy Luxembourg membership, they may request that the €10 Trial Session fee be added as credit to their Veras Academy Luxembourg customer account.
The credit is not applied automatically.
Once the membership has been successfully purchased and activated, the participant must contact Veras Academy Luxembourg to request the €10 account credit.
Once approved, the €10 credit will remain available on the participant’s account and may be used towards eligible future purchases, including membership payments or other products and services available through Veras Academy Luxembourg.
The credit is personal, non-transferable and cannot be exchanged or redeemed for cash.
4. Registration, Forms & Waivers
Before attending the Trial Session, the participant must complete all required registration information and any applicable:
* health or medical information forms;
* assumption of risk documentation;
* liability waivers;
* media consent or release forms; and
* other forms or declarations required by Veras Academy Luxembourg.
For participants under 18 years of age, all required forms and consents must be completed by a parent or legal guardian.
5. Health & Fitness to Participate
Participants are responsible for informing Veras Academy Luxembourg of any injury, illness, medical condition or other circumstance that may affect their ability to participate safely.
Participants must not attend training if they have a contagious illness, skin infection or other condition that may present a health or safety risk to themselves or others.
Veras Academy Luxembourg may refuse or stop participation where there are reasonable health or safety concerns.
6. Academy Equipment & Uniform
Where required, Veras Academy Luxembourg may provide suitable Academy training equipment or uniform for use during the Trial Session.
This may include, depending on the class:
* Gi;
* rashguard;
* shorts;
* spats; or
* other approved training equipment.
Any equipment provided remains the property of Veras Academy Luxembourg and must be returned immediately after the session.
Trial participants must wear suitable and approved training clothing and must follow any uniform instructions given by the Academy.
7. Hygiene
All participants must maintain a high standard of personal hygiene.
Participants must:
* arrive clean;
* wear clean training clothing;
* keep fingernails and toenails short and clean;
* follow all Academy hygiene procedures;
* remain off the mats unless instructed otherwise by a coach; and
* never wear outdoor footwear on the training mats.
Veras Academy Luxembourg reserves the right to refuse participation where hygiene requirements are not met.
8. Behaviour & Code of Conduct
All Trial Session participants must treat coaches, staff, members and other visitors with respect.
The following behaviour may result in immediate refusal or termination of participation:
* abusive, threatening, discriminatory, derogatory or defamatory behaviour;
* bullying, harassment or sexual misconduct;
* excessive or dangerous use of force;
* intentionally attempting to injure another participant;
* refusing to follow coaching or safety instructions;
* disruptive behaviour;
* attending under the influence of alcohol or illegal drugs; or
* any conduct that may compromise the safety, wellbeing or positive training environment of the Academy.
9. Coaching & Safety Instructions
Participants must follow all instructions given by Veras Academy Luxembourg coaches and staff.
Coaches may adapt, restrict or stop a participant’s involvement in an exercise, drill, sparring activity or class whenever considered necessary for safety, experience level or programme suitability.
10. Parents & Guardians
Parents and guardians of children attending a Trial Session are expected to support the Academy’s coaching environment and behave respectfully towards coaches, staff, other children and other parents.
Unless specifically invited by a coach, parents and guardians must remain off the training mats and must not interrupt coaching or instruction during class.
Any questions or concerns should be discussed with a member of staff after the class whenever possible.
11. Refusal of Participation
Veras Academy Luxembourg reserves the right to refuse, restrict or terminate participation in a Trial Session where reasonably necessary for reasons including safety, hygiene, inappropriate conduct, failure to follow Academy rules or instructions, or suitability for the selected class.
12. Future Membership
Completion of a Trial Session does not guarantee acceptance as a member of Veras Academy Luxembourg.
Any future membership will be subject to the separate Membership Terms & Conditions, Academy policies, applicable registration requirements and payment terms in force at the time of purchase.
13. Agreement
By purchasing and/or attending a Trial Session, the participant, or their parent/legal guardian where applicable, confirms that they have read, understood and agreed to these Trial Session Terms & Conditions and the applicable Veras Academy Luxembourg policies.
