Terms and Conditions
Membership Terms & Conditions
Some classes, seminars and special events may be excluded from this membership. Unless otherwise stated, this membership is personal and non-transferable.
Veras Academy Luxembourg reserves the right to refuse membership or participation in any class or programme. Such decisions are rare and will only be made by the Academy Owner or Head Instructor where necessary. Reasons may include, but are not limited to:
1. Failure to adhere to these Terms & Conditions, Academy policies or guidance; abusive, threatening, derogatory or defamatory behaviour; excessive foul language; the use of excessive or dangerous force; intentionally attempting to injure another member, coach or staff member; consistently arriving late for class; failure to follow the Academy booking procedures; disrupting the positive experience of other members; poor personal hygiene; bullying or harassment; sexual misconduct; or attending the Academy under the influence of alcohol or illegal drugs. Membership may be refused, suspended or terminated immediately in such circumstances.
2. Members who fail to maintain agreed membership payments after being given reasonable opportunity to do so may have their membership suspended or terminated until all outstanding fees have been paid.
3. Annual memberships must be paid in advance. Upon completion of the annual term, members may renew their annual membership or transfer to an available monthly membership.
4. Offers and incentives available when commencing a new membership apply only to eligible new members unless otherwise stated. Members who cancel their membership may not be eligible for future introductory offers.
5. All new members must complete the required membership registration, accept the Academy Terms & Conditions and policies, and complete the Veras Academy Luxembourg liability waiver before participating.
6. Annual memberships cannot be cancelled during the agreed annual membership term. Monthly memberships may be cancelled at any time by providing two (2) months’ notice. Membership payments will continue during the notice period. Membership cancellations must be completed through the TeamUp Membership Cancellation process.
7. Cancelling or removing a payment card, cancelling a bank instruction or stopping a payment does not constitute cancellation of membership. Members remain responsible for all payments due during the required notice period.
8. Veras Academy Luxembourg reserves the right to suspend or terminate any membership and recover any outstanding fees where payment obligations have not been met or where payment has been cancelled without following the required cancellation procedure.
Seminars & Special Events
1. Veras Academy Luxembourg offers seminars, camps, competitions and social events for the benefit and enjoyment of its members. Unless otherwise stated, all members are welcome to attend.
2. Priority for seminars and special events may be given to active members. Places are only confirmed once full payment has been received and may be subject to booking deadlines.
Uniform
1. All members attending Gi classes must wear an Official Veras Academy White Gi together with the Official Veras Academy Blue Rashguard underneath. Members attending No-Gi classes must wear the Official Veras Academy No-Gi uniform (rashguard,shorts and spats). Veras Academy Luxembourg reserves the right to refuse access to classes or training facilities where the uniform policy is not followed.
2. Official Veras Academy uniforms and equipment are available for purchase directly from Veras Academy Luxembourg.
Code of Conduct for Members
1. All members must maintain a high standard of personal hygiene, including short, clean fingernails and toenails, and a freshly washed, clean uniform appropriate for each training session.
2. Remain off the mats unless otherwise instructed by a coach or instructor.
3. Outdoor footwear is strictly prohibited on the training mats.
4. All members are expected to treat coaches, staff and fellow members with respect at all times and help maintain a safe, professional and positive training environment.
Code of Conduct for Parents
1. Encourage and support your child’s development.
2. Remain off the mats unless otherwise instructed by a coach or instructor.
3. Refrain from discussing or criticising other people’s children or comparing their strengths and weaknesses.
4. Support your child by allowing our coaches and instructors to teach without interruption. If you have any questions or feedback, please speak with a member of staff after the class has finished.
5. Veras Academy Luxembourg reserves the right to suspend or cancel any membership linked to a parent or guardian whose behaviour repeatedly disrupts classes or negatively affects the Academy’s learning environment.
