TeamUp's SMS notifications let you keep customers in the loop at all times. Whether you want to confirm a class, announce a last minute spot that's become available, or need to cancel an appointment, SMS is the best way to ensure your customers see the message and, more importantly, on time.
Please note the SMS notifications feature is a paid add-on. A per SMS message rate applies, and you will be billed on a monthly basis with your TeamUp subscription. You can choose to enable or disable this feature at any time.
Let's face it, we're never too far from our mobile phones, which is why SMS notifications are the most effective way to stay in touch with your members. You can always share news on your social media channels and hope that clients see it as they scroll, or update your website in case someone visits your site to double-check info about a class.
But particularly when it comes to urgent or last minute updates, why take the risk? Text messaging is your safest option and will help prevent unhappy customers turning up to a cancelled session or coveted spaces in your Pilates class remaining empty because no one got the memo.
This feature is ready to be enabled. The settings differ slightly depending on where you are.
To set up SMS notifications, log in to your TeamUp account and go to Pro Tools. Click 'SMS'.
If you're located in the UK, we will generate five mobile phone number options with the +44 prefix for you to choose from - this is the number your customers will see when they receive an SMS from your business.
If you're based in the United States, we'll generate a list of toll-free phone numbers for you to choose from - this is the number your customers will see when they receive an SMS from your business.
If you're in Canada, select your desired area code and we'll generate a list of local phone numbers for you to choose from - this is the number your customers will see when they receive an SMS from your business.
If you want to send texts from Spain, France, Germany, Ireland, and Netherlands, we'll auto-generate an Alphanumeric Sender ID for you that you can modify. An Alphanumeric Sender ID is your company name or brand used as the Sender ID in one-way SMS messages. We recommend using your business name so recipients know who the message is coming from.
