APPI Reformer Certification - July to November 2026

Course Structure

This is a full certification delivered over three weekends:

4–5 July

12–13 September

14–15 November

Each weekend builds progressively, giving you time to practise and apply your learning between modules.

What You Will LearnAcross the course, you will cover:

The history and principles of the ReformerAPPI’s five key elements of movement control

Exercise technique from beginner through to advanced

Clinical reasoning and programme design

One-to-one and small group teaching skills

How to adapt exercises for different needs and abilities

There is a strong focus on practical application throughout.

Time Commitment and Assessment

To achieve certification, you will complete:

6 full in-person training days

A logbook including:

75 hours self-practice

50 hours practice teaching

10 hours observation

A theory exam

A practical video assessment

If you work consistently alongside the course, most of this can be completed as you go.

APPI provide ongoing support and allow retakes where needed.

Qualification

On completion, you will become an:

APPI Reformer Certified Instructor

This qualification is:Recognised across the UK and internationally

Suitable for obtaining professional insurance

Highly respected within both clinical and fitness settings

Important Reminder

You’ll need a recognised Matwork Pilates qualification to attend. If you don’t currently have one, you can complete the APPI Matwork Fundamentals course (£419) before the course begins and this should be booked direct with the APPI here - Matwork Fundamentals Course
