BOX Women - Course
BOX Women – A 6 week course containing female only boxing and kickboxing in a fun and friendly environment!
What: a 1hr class learning fundamental strikes, kicks, defence and footwork skills, using a combination of drills, pads and bag work. While you will work on some drills with a partner, in this class there is NO SPARRING so you can build confidence gradually over time before progressing to contact sparring in the future if you want to.
Why: perfect for those looking to try something different, learn new skills and get fit. This class is a great introduction to martial arts; you don’t need any prior experience to start and it’s suitable for any fitness level. We all start somewhere!
This class is also suitable for those with prior experience to keep working on those fundamental skills, or if you are returning to boxing or kickboxing and want to get back in the swing of things before sparring again.
Who: the class is coached by Kate, a qualified marital arts coach, personal trainer and lover of all things punch, kick and more recently grapple! Kate fell in love with martial arts 10 years ago after trying out a class at 33. She has since earned her 1st Dan black belts in karate and kickboxing and has competed in both. She also trains in boxing, Muay Thai and most recently BJJ and regularly attends seminars and workshops to keep learning. Kate is passionate about empowering the women she coaches and creating a community where everyone feels relaxed, supported, has fun and realises how strong and capable they can be.
When: Fridays 7:00 - 8:00pm
Where: BOX Andover – a dedicated boxing gym with easy access from the A303 and lots of free parking available
