Lift Strong - Women - Course
LIFT STRONG provides a friendly, female only space to come and learn the fundamentals and feel strong! It’s a 1hr structured training session where you can train key lifts in strength training: back squats, deadlifts and bench press. You’ll also work on the supporting muscle groups, as well as learning good warm up and mobility training habits. Each week you’ll work round four stations with a training buddy (so it makes sense to bring your mate!) with coach support on hand at all times. Great tunes, lift weights and unwind from the week with your buddy. It’s a new Friday night out with your mates. AND NO CARDIO!
Why: strength training is good for everyone, particularly women. However, gyms can feel like an intimidating space full of people who look like they know what they’re doing. You’ll develop the knowledge and confidence to lift with safe technique and set up equipment yourself. Also – picking up heavy stuff feels great and endless cardio isn’t for everyone! And if you’re already training it’s a great space to come and hang out with like minded women at the end of the week with coaching support on hand.
Who: the class is coached by Kate, a level 3 qualified and insured personal trainer and professional sports coach. Kate has been coaching women since 2018 and hasn’t met a woman yet who didn’t love feeling strong once introduced to weights. She is passionate about building training communities where everyone feels supported, motivated and has fun.
When: Fridays 6:00 – 7:00pm
Where: BOX Andover – a dedicated boxing gym with easy access from the A303 and lots of free parking available
