MEMBERSHIP TERMS AND CONDITIONS
All monthly memberships are subject to the terms and conditions listed below. Please read these carefully and ensure that you understand the terms and conditions before signing up. By purchasing a membership, you are agreeing to the listed terms and conditions:
1. Billing
1. 1. Memberships are billed on the 1st of every month. Payment for the first partial period will be prorated according to the days remaining in the period.
1.2. Some classes/events may be excluded from the membership.
1.3. Membership is non-transferable.
1.4. Your payment details will be securely stored in our system for the duration of the membership.
2. Session bookings
2.1 Monthly memberships provide you will enough credits to attend a set number of sessions a week. These credits can be used throughout the calendar month. If, for example, you miss your session/s on one week because you are away on holiday/unwell, you can use the session credit/s to book in extra sessions throughout the same calendar month, either before or after any planned absence.
1 x weekly - 5 session credits
2 x weekly - 9 session credits
3 x weekly - 13 session credits
2.2. Session credits cannot be carried over into subsequent calendar months.
2.3 We ensure that sessions run as consistently as possible throughout the year, though reserve the right to adjust the standard timetable at quieter periods, such as in school holidays.
3. Session cancellations
3.1. We operate a 3-hour cancellation policy. For example:
Cancel before 6.15am for a 9.15am session
Cancel before 3pm for a 6pm session
3.2. If you cancel with less than 3 hours’ notice or fail to attend, the session will be marked as lost and cannot be rebooked.
3.3. Although the official window is 3 hours, we’d really appreciate you cancelling as soon as you know you can’t attend. This helps others on the waiting list, helps us prepare for sessions and keeps things running smoothly.
4. Missed sessions/cancellations by us
4.1. Your monthly payment represents the support provided and preparation required outside of sessions as well as the delivery of the sessions themselves. It is calculated to incorporate some missed sessions when (a) you are unable to catch up on planned absence or (b) when sessions may occasionally be cancelled (e.g. for staff illness, at Christmas, some Bank Holidays etc).
4.2. No refunds or credits will be provided for missed sessions nor for occasional session cancellations/Bank Holiday closures. You can use the flexibility the membership allows (see point 2.1 above) to make up these sessions at other times during the calendar month.
5. Membership holds
5.1. If you cannot attend the gym for 28 days or more, we can pause your membership for a maximum of 3 months, after which it will resume as normal.
5.2. If you are not planning on returning after a pause, you must cancel with at least 28 days notice of your next scheduled payment date/the end of your membership pause. If you fail to give 28 days notice, a £50 cancellation fee is chargeable.
5.3. If you decide to pause your membership and do not return after the maximum period of 3 months and we do not hear from you within 7 days, a £50 cancellation fee will be charged.
5.4. We cannot pause your membership if you go on holiday for a week or two. Instead, please make use of the flexible nature of the booking system and schedule your sessions around your trips and commitments.
6. Membership cancellation
6.1. There is no minimum term for any recurring membership options. Your membership bills monthly until you cancel.
6.2. You can cancel your membership at any time, but you do have to give 28 days notice (i.e. cancel at least 28 days before your next scheduled billing date, which is the 1st of every month). If you cancel with less than 28 days until your next billing date, you will be billed one final time, and you will have that month’s session credits available to use.
Example: your membership bills on the 1st of every month. You must cancel by the 3rd of the month to give 28 days notice. If you cancel on the 16th, for example, this is only 15 days to your next scheduled payment date, so you will be charged one last time.
6.3. You can conveniently cancel via the GoTeamUp account dashboard, or alternatively contact us and we can arrange the cancellation for you, in line with the 28 day cancellation period.
7. Membership upgrades/downgrades
7.1. If you want to upgrade your membership type, you can conveniently and quickly do this yourself - with immediate effect - via your GoTeamUp account. Payment will be prorated accordingly.
7.2. Please get in touch with us for any downgrades that are required. We can action this to apply from your next billing date, so long as we have at least ten days notice.
