What is a weight-neutral approach to health?
Why has it emerged?
How healthy is it?

The mainstream view of health tells us that being within a certain BMI range brings the lowest health risks. However, in response to centuries of failed diets, the detrimental effects of intentional weight-loss and gaps in the scientific evidence on the impact of higher body weight - a new approach has emerged.

If you are interested in hearing more about a weight-neutral approach to health (one that welcomes all body sizes), join us for this presentation by Cathy Liddiard, who is currently studying for a masters in Health & Wellbeing at the University of Bristol.

(Please note, we will be discussing weight stigma, fatphobia and eating disorders.)
