An Observation Workshop

One of the most important skills a yoga teacher can develop is the ability to truly see what is happening in a student’s body.

This highly practical observation workshop focuses on developing clearer, less biased ways of seeing anatomy in real bodies, in movement, and in asana. Rather than memorising muscles or alignment rules, you will learn how to observe structure, movement patterns, and individual variation, and respond with greater clarity and confidence when teaching or assisting.

Through postural analysis, movement observation, and applied work on the mat, this workshop builds observation skills that can be used immediately in both teaching and personal practice.

Topics include:

  • Functional anatomy review

  • Postural analysis as a teaching tool

  • Seeing anatomy in movement and gait

  • Observing anatomy within asana and transitions

  • Individualising cues and adjustments based on what you see

This workshop supports safer, more responsive, and more sustainable teaching.

Suitable for:
Yoga teachers, teacher trainees, assistants, and experienced practitioners who guide others.
