Zoom Winter Solstice

The winter solstice or midwinter marks the shortest period of daylight and longest night when the sun is at its lowest elevation in the sky. For centuries it has been seen across cultures as a time for ritual and festivals. Symbolically, the winter solstice represents regeneration and renewal as it signifies the rebirth of the sun and a gradual shift to longer days and more daylight. It is also a time for self-reflection.

At this candle-lit session, we’ll create space to turn inwards and explore gentle practices that build and harness our energy. The evening will begin with a breathwork or pranayama before moving into a short sequence of flowing hatha yoga. From there, the session will slow down and melt into soothing yin and restorative shapes in order to cultivate deep and nourishing rest.
