An introduction to this beautifully meditative and creative practice.

Mandala Vinyasa yoga is a creative practice where we move in 360 degrees around the mat. Each practice is based on one of the four elements, earth, water, fire and air. The Mandala methodology links each of the elements to a specific part of the body which will be the focus of the asana practice.

Each class will start with an introduction to the element we are focusing on, followed by pranayama (breathwork) practice and slow mindful movement to warm up the body. From there we move into our Mandala vinyasa sequence where we move in circular motions around the mat. The pace of this practice is steady with a conscious linking of breath and movement. As we move through our Mandala flow and become more familiar with the sequencing this practice becomes deeply meditative. The class will end with restorative poses followed by Savasana or meditation.

During this 4 week course, we will work through each of the 4 elements. This class is suitable for anyone with a regular yoga practice who would like to try something new and enjoys creative and dynamic movement and sequencing.

Open to all but not suitable for complete beginners.
