Basic Skills - Level 1 (Ages 7-13) | 5 WEEKS | SUMMER 2026

Basic Skills - Level 1 (ages 7-13) teaches the FUNdamentals of ice skating and provides a solid foundation for figure skating, hockey and speed skating. Basic courses range from levels 1 through 6. This class will focus on Basic Level 1.  This class is designed for newer skaters with minimal skating experience and will introduce correct posture for falling down / standing up, forward skating and glides introduce backwards skating and stopping.  

*** PLEASE INCLUDE DETAILS OF THE SKATERS SKATING ABILITY/EXPERIENCE WHEN REGISTERING. ***

ALL SKATERS MUST HAVE A HELMET. A HECC certified hockey helmet with a full face cage is highly recommended.

LEARN TO SKATE MEMBERSHIP:

Skaters must have an active Learn to Skate USA membership account before the first day of class. Register at https://www.learntoskateusa.com/registration . If you are unsure of how to register please contact us at info@fairfieldskatingclub.com. 

***MEMBERSHIPS ARE VALID FROM JULY 1ST - JUNE 30TH. PLEASE MAKE SURE TO PURCHASE YOUR MEMBERSHIP AFTER JUNE 30th. PUT 000 IN THE REGISTRATION IF YOU DO NOT HAVE A CURRENT MEMBERSHIP, AND EMAIL US YOUR NEW MEMBERSHIP AFTER JUNE 30th!

Tuesday, August 4th, 2026 - 5:30 - 6:30pm

Tuesday, August 11th, 2026 - 5:30 - 6:30pm

Tuesday, August 18th, 2026 - 5:30 - 6:30pm

Tuesday, August 25th, 2026 - 5:30 - 6:30pm

 LESSON FORMAT: 5 minute free skate, 45 minute lesson time, 10 minute free skate 

REFUND POLICY: Please note there are NO refunds or make up classes. 

SKATES & HELMET POLICY: All skaters must bring their own skates and helmet. Skate rentals are NOT available!
