Snowplow Sam (WITH parent/guardian on ice, ages 3-5) | 9 weeks | WINTER 2026 | 6:15 - 7:05pm

Snowplow Sam (with parent/guardian on ice, 3-5yrs) is for children with none or limited skating experience. These classes are designed to help children 3 - 5 years old develop the ABCs of movement: agility, balance, coordination and speed. The ABCs are essential for developing fundamental movement skills and physical literacy. All classes will be taught in a safe and positive environment, incorporating fun and games making class time an enjoyable experience for all. Get acquainted with the ice, standing and shuffling. The Snowplow Sam level includes 4 levels ranging from falling down and standing up and moving forward on the ice up to skating backwards and backwards swizzles. This class will focus on Snowplow Sam Level 1 and possibly part of level 2. Students will learn to skate forward independently, fall down and stand up, a short glide, dip, etc.

An adult on skates with some skating experience is required to accompany the child each week. All child skaters on the ice must have a helmet and their own skates. A HECC certified hockey helmet is highly recommended, including the adult (and full face cage for the child). Adults accompanying child on ice must also have their own skates. Adult on ice and child skater must both have an active Learn to Skate USA membership account before the first day of class. Please note: the registration system will prompt ALL adults to sign the skating waivers to attend classes on ice. All skaters, including adults, must sign the waivers to attend classes on ice.

***IF YOUR CHILD HAS SKATING EXPERIENCE, PLEASE MAKE SURE TO INCLUDE YOUR CHILD'S LAST PASSED LEVEL IN YOUR REGISTRATION! ***

 LESSON FORMAT: 5 minute free skate, 40 minute lesson time, 5 minute free skate 

REFUND POLICY: Please note there are NO refunds or make up classes. 

SKATES & HELMET POLICY: All skaters must bring their own skates and helmet (helmet optional for adults accompanying skaters). Skate rentals are currently NOT available!
