REHEARSE

Dive into MOTHER: a visceral study of origin, endurance, and the pulse of life itself. Build trust, expand your range, and move as a company in an environment that demands both rigor and release.

PERFORM

End the week on stage at the Jack Crystal Theater at NYU, sharing your work with the public in a culminating performance. Gain professional experience, confidence, and video footage that captures your growth.

GALLIM Methods is a movement technique training which practices Andrea Miller’s movement philosophy and creative methodology through a guided conversation between the body's network of systems and the imagination. Through a combination of guided improvisation and focused exercises, the class brings nuanced attention to regions of the body, its availability for movement, range, coordination, texture, and creative expression in relationship to the rest of the body and its experience within space, time, music, and art.

MOTHER unfolds in a fantastical present where every shift of the dancers generates matter, energy, and possibility. Through GALLIM’s fearless physicality and relentless virtuosity, Miller crafts a haunting genesis: bodies conjuring landscapes, instinct colliding with endurance, and the drive to continue, regenerate, and live.

Rather than retelling any myth, Miller forges her own. Inspired by humanity’s age-old desire to explain beginnings, she transforms that impulse into a bold, futuristic creation story—one that grows more vulnerable and intimate as it moves toward reflections on motherhood, community, and survival.

MOTHER marks Miller’s first full-length world premiere with GALLIM since 2019, she returns to her company with a work that epitomizes her gift for creating not just dances, but entire worlds.

TUITION

We know the cost of educational and performance opportunities can be prohibitive—and we never want that to stand in the way of your growth. For this Winter Intensive, GALLIM is expanding scholarship offerings and introducing a monthly payment plan of $103.57/month for seven months to make participation more attainable.
