6 week Pilates course to support through menopause and beyond......

This pilates programme is aimed at peri menopausal and menopausal clients. It is a comprehensive 6 week programme consisting of weekly menopausal related topics to enable you to develop a comprehensive understanding of this important milestone in you life, and to exercise in an effective and safe way, all under the care of a specialist womens health physio. 

Each session will take place in our boutique studio on a Wednesday Evening at 6.30pm,  and  will focus on different menopausal symptoms. Pelvic Health, pelvic floor muscles, osteoporosis, metabolism, strength training, brain fog,  concentration, joint aches and pains will be covered with top tips on how to manage common symptoms, and when to seek help. 

Each session will also take you through a lovely sequence of low impact, yet effective,  physiotherapy led pilates based exercises. 

This is a specialist class, led by one of our specialist Womens Health Physiotherapist, Emma Lawrence.  

This class is excellent value for 6 hours worth of Womens Health Specialist knowledge for just £90. Emmas 1 hour appointments in clinic cost £119

Who is this class suitable for ?

Basically all women entering into the perimenopausal stage of life leading up to the menopause, and clients that are menopausal and beyond. 

Do I need to have pilates experience?

No previous experience of pilates is required. Our group is small and Emma is highly experienced enough to teach a mixed ability group, ensuring all clients receive the care and attention they deserve. 

What do I do after the course?

We have so many different classes taking place every day in our studios, including mat pilates, reformer pilates and large apparatus. Attending this course will give you a taster of what pilates studio life is like at The Physiotherapy Centre, and help you decide what other classes to attend. Our pilates community is very active and growing.

Emma Lawrence

Emma trained with the Australian Physiotherapy & Pilates Institute to teach clinical Pilates Matwork in 2006 and has been using Pilates with her one to one and group clients ever since.

As a full Pelvic, Obstetric & Gynaecological physiotherapist since 2007, she has used manual therapies, guided movement strategies & empowerment through education to improve the health of those in her care.

Through the last decade she worked on a clinic & class basis in Bangkok, Thailand and frequently teamed up with the birth worker community to support women and families around the childbearing years and beyond.
