Penny’s Wings 2026
On February 2nd our darling daughter Penny will turn two years old. This year we have chosen to celebrate her birthday with a different challenge… The National Three Peaks Challenge!
This event will run from the 26th-28th June 2026… not in February as you may have thought! This is for safety reasons and in favour of weather conditions.
How will it run… On the 26th June we will travel up to Scotland in two mini buses, we will stay overnight at a local hotel and be up bright and early to head up Ben Nevis at 6.00am on the 27th June. By 6.00am on the 28th June we should be at the bottom of Snowdon (having already completed Ben Nevis and Scafell). Then off home we go having completed the challenge in under 24 hours!
This is a massive challenge, schedules will be tight and the walking is not to be underestimated! However, it will be an unbelievable opportunity and an amazing way to honour our daughter Penny and all the babies gone too soon. 👼❤️
We will continue to raise money for Tommy’s who specialise in treating high risk pregnancies and prevention of baby loss.
As many of you know, it is the Tommy’s rainbow clinic at St Mary’s who brought Ruby into the world and we will forever be grateful to them. Last year we raised over 16k during our Penny’s Wings event and this money went directly to Professor Heazell and his team for research into stillbirth prevention. This felt like a small drop of water in the ocean gratitude we have for Alex and his team.
The Tommy’s charity funds clinics such as, rainbow clinics, placental clinics, Mavis clinics (high blood pressure) and preterm labour clinics. It is vital these clinics continue to run to a high standard to provide the best outcomes for families. No family should ever have to walk this path and we want to help in anyway we can.
We cannot wait to tackle the Three Peaks… who’s coming with us?! 🥾🏴🏴🏴
