Chair Yoga

Join us for a one hour Chair Yoga class on Sunday, February 18th 12:30-1:30pm

Chair yoga is a gentle form of yoga that is practiced sitting on a chair or using a chair for support. It's designed to make yoga accessible to individuals who may have difficulty with traditional yoga poses due to physical limitations or mobility issues. In chair yoga, the chair becomes a versatile prop, providing stability and support while allowing participants to enjoy the benefits of yoga.

This form of yoga typically includes modified poses, stretches, and breathing exercises that can be easily adapted for seated positions. Chair yoga offers a range of benefits, including improved flexibility, increased strength, and enhanced relaxation. It is particularly suitable for seniors, individuals with disabilities, or anyone seeking a gentle and inclusive approach to yoga.

Chair yoga sessions often focus on gentle movements that promote joint mobility, balance, and circulation. The practice also emphasizes mindfulness and breath awareness, promoting a sense of calm and well-being. As with traditional yoga, chair yoga can be customized to suit different fitness levels and abilities, making it a versatile and inclusive option for people of all ages and physical conditions.
