Terms and Conditions
JUNIOR MEMBERS
No child under the age of 12 will be permitted to use the gym facilities.
Junior members are aged 12- 15 years. These members will not be permitted use of the resistance machines or weights until reaching the age of 16 years.
Junior members will not be permitted to use the gym facilities without adult supervision; they must attend either the Junior specific sessions which will be instructor led, or be accompanied by an adult member aged 18 or over.
JUNIOR MEMBERSHIP RULES
Below are the rules to junior/student gym membership:
1. Juniors are only permitted to use the gym facilities during the specified student gym times, Monday – Friday 3pm -5pm and Saturday & Sunday 10am – 2pm.
2. Weekday sessions are split into 2 x 1 hour bookable slots, 3-4pm & 4-5pm.
A maximum of 3 x a hour weekday slots are allowed per week – these MUST be booked in advance via our website
3. Weekend slots do not have to booked.
4. There are 5 additional student specific fitness classes, all of which can be booked in addition to gym sessions.
Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursdays are our Junior Gym sessions which comprise of a mixture of cardio & weight based workouts & is suitable of all age groups & abilities.
Monday & Fridays are our Student Strong Club sessions, these are heavy weights based with the purpose of build functional strength and power – these sessions are suitable for only 15 & 16 years olds.
5. Unsupervised gym usage is allowed from the age of 15 years, however the Sports Hub must receive written permission from a parent/guardian before access is granted.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF MEMBERSHIP
This document specifies the Terms and Conditions of all memberships. The Member is advised to read the whole of this agreement carefully. This agreement is made between Evolve, Falmouth School and you (The Member).
The applicant has read this agreement in its entirety and understands the contents of it completely, has taken all such independent advice on it as he/she wishes and accepts all the terms and conditions contained on it.
1. You, Your Health and Your Safety
1.1 The Member chooses whether Evolve can assess his/her health and fitness level and prepare an exercise programme designed with the intention to improve his/her fitness level. The Member accepts and fully understands the following:
1.2 That if the member decides to opt out of the induction, a disclaimer must be agreed.
1.3 That as the member has agreed the disclaimer; Evolve cannot accept responsibility for any injury, loss or damage sustained as a consequence of misuse of equipment or as a consequence of an existing health condition.
1.4 That the Member enters an exercise programme and uses any equipment entirely at his/her own risk.
1.5 That any exercise programme is designed to place an increasing workload on the body’s heart and lungs. The exercise programme cannot be predicted with complete accuracy and there is risk that the applicant may experience abnormalities in blood pressure and heart rate before, during or after exercise.
1.6 That all exercise programmes will include a warm up, a specifically designed exercise programme and a cool down.
1.7 An Evolve fitness instructor must be consulted before using any new piece of fitness equipment. Evolve cannot accept responsibility for any injury sustained as a consequence of any item of equipment being used upon which the member has not received instruction.
2. Your Health
2.1 The member will be responsible for monitoring his/her own physical condition throughout any exercise programme. In the event of any unusual symptoms occurring, the member should inform a Evolve member of staff immediately or raise the alarm.
2.2 The member who chooses to have an induction declares that to the best of his/her knowledge, the information provided in the health & fitness questionnaire is complete and accurate. The member must disclose to Evolve if he/she knows of any reason why he/she should not take part in the exercise programme prescribed.
2.3 If the member chooses to deviate from any prescribed exercise programme in any way he/she does so at their own risk.
2.4 All gym users must make the Instructors aware if they suffer from any of the below conditions before they begin exercise:
• High Blood Pressure
• Heart problems or disease
• Epilepsy
• Diabetes
• Asthma or repertory difficulties
• Joint or muscle problems
• Allergies
• Has undergone surgery in the last 6 months
• Has ever been advised against exercising by a physician
3. Our Centre Conditions
3.1 Members are required to adhere to the centre rules and regulations on display at each centre. Failure to do so may result in entry being refused. The refusal of entry duration is at the discretion of Evolve.
3.2 Admission will not be granted unless a valid membership card is presented clearly at reception or validated by the computer system or each time you use the facility.
3.3 In the event of losing your membership card, please visit the hub where a replacement card will be issued.
3.4 Your membership card is non-transferable. You must not allow anyone else to use your card or membership number. Cards being used by any other person other than the authorised member will result in that membership being cancelled and no refund of subscriptions made.
3.5 Admission is subject to the facility operating at a safe capacity. The decision of the Centre Manger or their nominated person is final.
3.6 Centre programming is subject to change and availability from time to time.
3.7 Membership products and prices may be subject to change at the discretion of Evolve
3.8 Evolve reserve the right to vary or withdraw products conditions or services based on customer demand
3.9 Members are required to change into training clothing. Men must wear tops or vests. Appropriate footwear must be warn, no open toed shoes or work boots.
3.10 Members are asked to respect personal hygiene at all times within the centre and to wipe clean equipment after use.
3.11 Free weights are in the designated areas at all times and be returned to the racks after use. Other than those machines specifically made for the purpose, additional weights being loaded onto the resistance machines are prohibited.
3.12 All equipment is to be treated with respect and only used for the its purpose. Mistreatment of equipment will not be tolerated. Non-accidental damages will be billable.
3.13 Bad language, shouting & play fighting will not be tolerated. Be respectful of all gym users and ensure a safe peaceful environment. Bookings and/or memberships will be cancelled for incidents of bad language and bad behaviour.
3.14 Abuse, violence or bad language towards the Sports Hub staff will not be tolerated. Bookings and/or memberships will be cancelled for incidents of abusive and/or bad language.
3.15 Abuse, violence or bad language towards other gym members, customers & visitors will not be tolerated. Bookings and/or memberships will be cancelled for incidents of abusive behaviour and/or bad language.
3.16 Smoking and alcohol are both strictly prohibited on any part of the sports hub grounds.
3.17 Lockers located near the Gym are for the use of the members using the Gym, members are respectfully asked to leave lockers empty after completing gym session. You must not take locker keys off of the premises. All lockers will be emptied each night and items found placed in lost property. Evolve cannot be held responsible for loss of or damage to any contents placed within the lockers, how so ever caused.
3.18 Non-members, guests or friends must be referred to the Hub Advisor on arrival. No spectators are allowed into activity areas.
4. Payment conditions
4.1 Customers joining on a monthly prepaid membership option must pay by direct debit. Failure to make any due payment will result in the membership being suspended. Access will be denied until outstanding payment has been made. Any further outstanding account arrears will be payable before reinstatement of any membership scheme run by Evolve. Evolve retain the right to recover all outstanding balances.
4.2 Monthly direct debits/card payments are a full binding contract between Evolve and (the Member) and will automatically continue until Evolve are notified otherwise in writing.
4.3 All centre and membership prices are reviewed from time to time. If your membership subscription price is changed Evolve will notify you at least 10 days working days in advance by email and or by letter.
4.4 Evolve operates a 7 day cooling off period on all prepaid memberships. This applies to members joining online or at the Hub.
4.5 Members are required to pay for all activities outside of their membership option and must have a valid ticket for use.
4.6 Membership joining fees are non-refundable. Annual Prepaid memberships are not refundable.
4.7 All partner memberships can only be processed through one bank account and therefore one direct debit mandate.
4.9 All direct debits are debited on the first working day of the month, unless stated otherwise.
4.10 In exceptional circumstance Evolve reserve the right to postpone, alter or cancel classes. However, we will ensure alternative arrangements or credits are given if this occurs. Direct Debit customer will be offered centre credit also and not adjustments to the next Direct Debit payment.
4.11 Memberships will last for 1 month from the day the monthly payment is taken
5. Change of Membership Status
5.1 All prepaid membership cancellations must be made in person at the Hub. Alternatively, you can request to cancel your membership via email evolve@falmouthsportshub.co.uk.
5.2 Members are also required to cancel their direct debit instructions (DDI) or recurring card payments with their bank to fully complete the cancellation process.
5.3 Memberships payments are non-refundable if the full cancellation process is not completed.
5.4 If you have any other concerns regarding your membership please visit the centre or email evolve@falmouthsportshub.co.uk
5.5 Membership suspension will be considered on an individual basis. Memberships can be frozen for a maximum of 3months within a 1-year period commencing from the membership start date.
5.6 Should Evolve choose to discontinue any of our membership schemes the member will be notified in writing one month in advance.
6. Booking Conditions
6.1 Members may make single activity bookings 6 days in advance.
6.2 For non-members payment will be taken at time of booking
6.3 Class cancellations must be made at least 2 hours before class commences; failure to give proper notice of class cancellation or ‘no-shows’ will result in removal of booking privileges.
6.4 For cancelled pre-paid bookings, refunds or transfers will only be offered if the 2 hour time limit is met.
6.3 Online bookings are available to all members by registering online at www.falmouthsportshub.co.uk
The Management reserve the right to reject any application or withdraw without refund any membership in the event of failure to comply with Membership Conditions and Centre Regulations. Evolve shall not be liable for any loss, damage of theft of personal property belonging to the member, (or any guest of the member) occurring upon the premises, except to the extent that such loss, damage or theft of personal property arises from any negligent act or omission of Evolve. Evolve Sports Hub shall not be responsible for the death or injury of the member, (or any guest of the member) occurring upon the premises or as a result of the use of the facilities and/or equipment provided in the premises, except to the extent that such death or personal injury arises from any negligent act or omission of Evolve. For the purpose of this clause Evolve includes the Sports Hub or any premises operated by it, Health and Fitness specialist instructors or other employees, servants or agents (including any independent contractors from time to time employed by it) and Premises means any premises operated by the company.
