3 Week Complete Beginners Pole Fitness Course
This 3 week taster course is the perfect way to try out pole and get into the swing of things. (Yes, the pole puns have started!!!)
Your first session takes you through all the safety aspects of being in a pole session followed by a few beginner moves to get you started! Your second and third session build on week one so that by your final week you have a mini routine to take home with you. Short and simple and no hot pants required! Sound Good?
You can then decide if you want to continue your pole journey and attend one of our mixed ability classes or indeed join on a full membership!
Mixed ability sessions are designed so you can learn at your own pace under a flexible syllabus to reach your pole goals. ((I WANNA BE UPSIDE DOWN AND DO COOL STUFF!!! Don't worry we can get you there - We will need your hard work and determination though)) ;)
Who can join this course? This course is for any reasonably healthy adult over 18. You must not have any previous pole experience.
HOW DO I PAY?? - Please read to the end for payment details.
Note: If you have attended a course previously with us (or elsewhere) then please see details of our 'Mixed ability' sessions.
Will I get my own pole to take away with me? Sadly No. Our fully insured studio has 7 poles and you will be sharing 2 or 3 to a pole. Believe me when I say.... a pole to yourself for a whole hour... when your muscles have never held you swinging round a pole before..... yea. It's tough! :/ Sharing a pole means you have time to soak in the moves a bit more and gives your body a breather before the next go. You will be moving for the whole session which leads me nicely onto clothing :)
What do I wear? Just wear normal comfortable clothes that are not going to hinder your pole spinning techniques. (I will no doubt be wearing Leggings, Vest, Trainers and a hoody :)
We encourage you to wear supportive footwear for the warm up HOWEVER we cannot emphasise enough that we CANNOT ACCEPT OUTDOOR SHOES ON OUR NEW FLOOR! Did you see that bit ok? If these trainers have been used for indoor purposes only then that is perfect. Stones caught in a trainer tread will puncture our soft floor vinyl so please bring a pair of indoor shoes with you.
Talking of No/No's... The following is a list of definite NO'S: Jeans, Jewellery (Rings can scratch the pole so please leave any valuable jewellery at home), Wedge trainers / Heels (Please wear supportive footwear for the warm up) Moisturiser (Yes, here's the wild card. When you moisturise these oils and moisture can sit on the skin and transfer onto the pole. This makes the pole slippy and dangerous to other users. Please wash hands thoroughly before your sessions or refrain from applying moisturise for your first session and we will advise you on suitable products to use on your 'pole days'.
Why don't you do 'one off' pole sessions? Pole (for most) is a brand new skill that needs practice. I know in my first session I 'hated' it because I wasn't any good. This can be demoralising for those that don't pick it up straight away. Perseverance and practice will eventually either have you walking away or gasping for your next pole fix. If you're not a natural (like I wasn't) then those 3hrs of practice really can make you fall in love with pole.
Alternatively if you just can't bring yourself to be in a room full of strangers.... why not try a 1:1 session with our Principal of the school? All 1:1 sessions are £25 for an hours session and can be tailored to your specific goals. Maybe you just want some basic spins or you are desperate to learn to climb! Whatever your goal we'll get you to the top! (More than one of you? Give us a call for more details - 07890 191514)
