CORE & PELVIC FLOOR RESET PART 2: GET STRONG
This workshop is Part 2 to "Core & Pelvic Floor" series, but all are welcome even if you didn't come to Part 1!! We'll debrief Part 1 "Get Reset" and go into Part 2 "Get Strong," which explores beyond posture and breath into pelvic alignment and muscle compensation patterns. You will 1) learn about common muscular imbalances through assessment, 2) understand how these patterns manifest issues such as diastasis recti, pelvic floor dysfunction, incontinence, prolapse, back and hip pain, etc. 3) unpack compensation patterns one layer at a time, 4) release and retrain certain pelvic muscles, and 5) get started with a corrective exercise plan for your body.
Your instructor, Kristen Boccumini, holds a Masters degree in Exercise and Rehabilitation Science. She has been teaching yoga for 18 years and is a Prenatal & Postpartum Yoga Teacher and Corrective Exercise Specialist in postpartum rehab with additional training on pelvis orientation and hip function. Kristen teaches for the Kinesiology Department at Penn State University, is co-founder of Yoga Lab in State College, PA, and a mom to 4 young children.
