Kettlebell Intructors Course with Phil Earley

We are over the moon to be welcoming the legend that is Mr Phil Earley to Unique Fitness on Sunday April 3rd.  We believe if your going to learn something then make sure the person teaching it is of the highest standard.  

 

When it comes to Kettlebells we don't know anyone better to do so than Phil, having studied at the original RKC School of Strength, training under Pavel Tsatsouline, the Founder and CEO of StrongFirst and the man who first brought Russian style Kettlebell training to the West in 1998.   

 

My self having completed my StrongFirst courses over 10 years ago would not deliver Kettlebell training any other way.  It is my pleasure to provide this course and introduce you to Phil who has long since been a mentor of mine - Steve Sharp, MD of Unique Fitness NE.  

 

The Course will consist of 8 hours of coaching covering all aspects of the Level 1 IKF course as well as more advanced techniques moving into the Level 2.  This course is aimed at current industry professionals i.e. Gym Instructors, Personal Trainers, Crossfit Coaches, Sports Coaches/Volunteers & Gym owners.  However if your an enthusiast and would just like to improve on your own training styles then you are more than welcome to come along.  

 

Course starts at 9am and will run for 8 hours with frequent breaks for reviews and refreshments.

ONE DAY HARDSTYLE KETTLEBELL COURSE
 


OBJECTIVES FOR CERTIFICATION

Design a Dynamic Warm Up

Demonstrate Proper Teaching Skills

- ideally we will use volunteers

COURSE OUTLINE 


Health & Safety Aspects including kettlebell specific dynamic warm up


Foundational Exercises Techniques & Progressions In depth dive into correct Techniques, Teaching Points & Common Errors to look out for. How to progress & regress.

1. Deadlift 

2. The Hardstyle Swing   

3. The Get Up

4. The Clean

5. The Press 

6. The Squat

7. The Snatch 

We will instruct on Single Kettlebell & Double Kettlebell Techniques. Understand when to advance skills.


Benefits & Programming Applications

Examples of use for sports

Most effective methods for group sessions


Corrective Exercise Application 
 

Brief introduction on utilising certain kettlebell movements for rehabilitation 


TESTING FOR CERTIFICATION 

Assessment throughout the day.

* Please note this course will be very hands on & we will be running several drills during the course of the day.
