Ferdinand Academy & Junior Premier League Trials
U8 // U9 // U10 9.30am - 12pm
U11 // U12 // U13 1pm - 3.30pm
OPEN TRIALS- Goalkeepers & Outfielders encouraged to come along.
Mixed gender squads. Girls may trial one year down.
What to expect:
The trials are held at the current training ground- Outdoor 3G astro at James Hornsby School SS15 5NX
Trialists will be split into their age group and coached by the relevant Head Coach, undertaking various drills, fitness tests and small sided games.
At the end of the trial, players will either be asked to return to the 2nd phase of trials on Sunday 9 June at the same time, or, informed they have been unsuccessful this time around.
Parents/guardians are encouraged to stay and watch.

Astro boots or appropriate studs
Weather-appropriate clothing

Any medication required (with instructions)
Sunscreen (pre-applied)
2nd Phase Trials Sunday 9 June
Successful players will be invited back to train with our current squads, so that coaches can analyze players at a high level skill set.
How do I know if my child is ready for Academy Trials?
The FFG Academy Squads play in the Junior Premier League; a high-level national league. Drills and exercises performed at our trials represent the level and intensity our squads will train and play at.
All our coaches are highly qualified and skilled to scout for our Academy squads. If you are unsure whether or not your child is ready to trial at a high level please visit our Development Centres for a few weeks prior (1 month free trial) and discuss the options for your child with the Head Coach prior to registering for Academy Trials.

When will I find out if my child has been successful?
Final squads will be announced by Friday 21 June 2024 via email. Please ensure you register with the correct email address and number to contact you on.
