Beginners Pole SEPTEMBER 2024 - STEVENAGE

Beginners 4 Week Pole Course


This class is suitable for beginners

Learn the foundations of pole; Spins, tricks, poses, transitions, and floor work. 

These sessions run for 1 hour, over 4 weeks.

Classes will have a MAX of 2 students per pole.

You must be OVER 18 to attend GDPU2 Pole classes. You must be generally physically fit with no medical contraindications. 

This class is not suitable for those who are pregnant or trying to conceive. If you have been pregnant in the past 6 months, you will need to be signed off by your GP. 

Please make sure you check the time/date/location of your booking after purchase.

-DO NOT BE LATE - Unfortunately students who arrive late for the warm-up cannot join in class for safety reasons. Give yourself plenty of time to find the studio.


-Please DO NOT turn up more than 5 minutes early to your class.

While every effort is taken to ensure student safety during the lessons, pole dancing is a sport like any other and there is always a possibility of getting hurt. You may occur bruising due to the nature of the fitness - however, you should never work through pain.

1. What to wear 

Main points:

- Form-fitting clothes are best (avoid baggy shorts, or double-layer)

- Shorts are preferred, but cycling shorts or joggers that can be rolled up are also suitable

- No jewellery, including wedding rings, watches, bracelets/anklets (no exceptions) 

- Please don’t moisturise, or use lotions the day of class 

- Bare feet or socks are fine (be aware that the floor can be slippery)

2. Please DO NOT BE LATE - There will be no admittance to class once the warm-up has started.

Please do not arrive more than 5 minutes before class.

 

3. Only bring with you necessary items, avoid large bags etc. 

Bring water (there’s drinking water available to fill your bottles up)

you’re welcome to bring your own mat. You can bring a sweat towel. 

 

4. Check your registration for venue information

5. When you arrive/leave class: 

- Grab a mat and a space ready to warm up 

- Please make me aware via email/text if you have any injuries/health issues I need to be aware of, that may affect you in class

- Grab a pole - 2 students to a pole 

- Grab a clean cloth (ONE CLOTH EACH) from the BLUE bag. There’s alcohol spray for your pole

- Please only use the cloth for your pole. Bring a sweat towel.

- When we’re finished, please put dirty cloths in the GREY bag, and put back spray bottles and mats. Beginners 4 Week Pole Course
