And now for something a little different… For confident aerialists with previous photoshoot experience. Join Simon from GB DanceStars for an Aerial Shoot like no other! Flying on the aerial hoop, over a pool of water!

This shoot will take place 4:00-7:00pm on Saturday 22nd July in Sheffield. We will work as a group of 10 aerialists taking it in turns through the session. Check out @gbswimstars_gbdancestars on Instagram for inspiration. Lorna from Leeds Aerial Arts will, as always, be on hand to offer support and cheerleading as we explore aerial and water!

IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR ANYONE COMING TO A WATER PHOTOSHOOT.

Please read the following information carefully - and if you're under 16 also make sure your parents/carers have read this...

WHAT TO BRING
Water shoots take place in a heated indoor swimming pool in Sheffield. The pool is between 1.1m and 1.4m deep - and you'll be working on a submerged platform just beneath the water surface or directly above the water (only if you're doing a water aerials shoot). If you fall off the platform you'll end up in the water - everyone does at some point... It's all part of the fun!
You'll be working against a black background, so avoid wearing anything all-black otherwise you'll disappear into it! Sparkly two pieces look great - especially metallic colours - and swimwear is usually better than dancewear. If you're bringing dancewear do a quick shower test in it before you come to make sure it doesn't go too see-through in the water! Do not wear anything underneath... Or you'll see the lines it makes.
You can wear floaty dresses, but once they get wet they'll stick to your legs. You can also bring a tutu if you want - but at your own risk. You're in a swimming pool after all! Bring a towel and a couple of changes. We start with static poses then ramp up to the really crazy water throwing. Bring your own warm-up mat, drinks and dressing gown/onesie. There'll be props for you to use if you want; plinths, flowers etc.
Please arrive 15 minutes before the start time. We cannot wait for you if you arrive late.

We try to prevent accidents, but there are risks with doing water photoshoots. So by taking part in the shoot you and your parents/carers are acknowledging this and will ASSUME ANY AND ALL RISKS INVOLVED IN OR ARISING FROM USE OR PRESENCE UPON THE GBDANCESTARS OR KING EDWARDS SWIMMING POOL FACILITIES.
