A 5 week course designed to help you develop your confidence and skills on the ukulele, learning new songs, chords and techniques in a relaxed and informal small group environment.
This course is suitable for players who can already play and change between the chords C, C7, F, G, G7, Am, Dm and Em confidently. Together we will practice chord changes, introducing new chords, playing single note melodies and developing your strumming technique, learning lovely songs along the way!
The course is £60 for five 1 and a half hour sessions (in person at The Woolpack Studios or via Zoom), which includes all song sheets and video recordings of each session to allow you to keep practising at home.

A set of 5 fortnightly sessions designed to get you started with an understanding of music theory, and how it relates to your instrument (including the basics of keyboard skills)
Fun sesssions combining a social tea break with playing songs suitable for all levels. Relaxed and uplifting sessions playing a selection of songs, using mainly open position chords such as C, D, Dm, E7, Em, F, G, A. Am etc, with a social break for chat, tea, coffee and snacks

A recorder group playing part-arrangements. Suitable for all levels except beginners. Ability to read music needed.
Over 6 weeks, we will be singing uplifting and joyful songs on a Tuesday afternoon together. This group is especially for those who love to sing or the idea of singing but feel intimidated or nervous about singing in a group. No auditions, no need to read music, no experience required! Songs will be taught by ear and with access to lyrics.
A typical session will include:
1) warm up exercises
2) vocal exercises aimed at strengthening and developing our voices while looking after them
3) a selection of uplifting and joyful songs you know from the world of pop, rock, soul and more
4) a time for tea and chat
5) vocal cool down routine

Rehearsals for 1st August event
Sessions for all abilities including beginners- a relaxed but creative session which includes tuition mixed with exchanging or trying out ideas, getting feedback, trying guided exercises.
5 fortnightly sessions (please note there is no session on 27th October)

This pass entitles you to attend one of our weekly community music groups per week, for the length of the current block (see dates).
You can attend in person or, if you can't make it for any reason, online on Zoom.
