INTRO TO ICARIAN GAMES
“Intro to Icarian Games”
TIME: 10:00 TO 12:00
DATES: 9/12, 9/19, 9/26, 10/3
PRICE: $140 for 8 hours of instruction
**Normally classes are 1.5 hours each (6 total hours), but since this is an introductory course we are adding an extra 30 minutes to each class.
REQUIREMENTS: Partner recommended but not required
SPACE IS LIMITED
Join Matt Fields-Johnson and Liz Overton for a FOUR WEEK series of Dutch-style Icarian Games at the San Diego Circus Center. In the Dutch style, props are not used and the base uses their hands and feet to toss the flyer. Specific spotting techniques, calibrations, and progressions will be used in every class so that each partnership safely progresses toward more challenging skills. Small class sizes will ensure focused attention from Matt and Liz so groups can moves efficiently through the progressions.
We will train transitions including front plank to chair, reverse star to chair, 180 pop from chair to reverse chair, and more once we get to know the class.
Partnerships with a higher skill level will be presented with more challenging material.
Icarian games are a really fun way to add a dynamic element to your partner acrobatic practice. Matt and Liz look forward to sharing their skills!
