AERIAL MOVEMENT INTENSIVE with Kelsi Mathey
A multi-faceted artistic development program that cross trains the disciplines of dance, flexibility, and circus arts. Through comprehensive guidance and storytelling, students will learn how the synergy of these disciplines allows for exponential growth in the art of circus.The Intensive will include Silks, Trapeze, Lyra, Bungee, Cube and more.

KELSI MATHEY is a passionate performer, choreographer, and show producer who thoughtfully creates with strategic intention. Being naturally creative, she received a BFA in Graphic Design from Chapman University along with a multidisciplinary cluster in dance and movement in 2012. Kelsi ignited her acrobatics career in 1993 with the Great All American Youth Circus in Redlands, CA and attributes her 15 year dance background to the Schwimmer family. In 2007, Kelsi began performing professionally with the American Acrobats and then went on to perform as a lyra soloist at the San Diego Zoo. Kelsi has worked with numerous entertainment companies both nationally and internationally, perfected principle aerial roles in Blue Horizons at Seaworld San Diego, and was chosen out of hundreds of applicants to participate as a top Lyra Finalist in 2016 at the US Aerial Championships in New York City. With a 25 year background in dance and circus acrobatics, she has a wealth of experience and knowledge in the entertainment industry from building and directing an aerial program, to planning and producing shows, to performing and choreographing. Kelsi finds joy in celebrating human expression, exploring individuality through circus, and helping others reach their highest potential.
