4 week Beginners Yoga Course guided by Wen Yee Kok

This course is for you if you are looking to start a yoga practice or revisit the foundations of your own practice and find greater depth. Whatever level you are, you will be supported in finding the alignment that suits your unique body.

All session will involves a breakdown of yoga poses, alignment, pranayama (breathwork), meditation and yoga philosophy. Sessions will breakdown each pose into bite sized chunks and also teach you how to transition from one pose to the next with ease. 

The course will help to build confidence and a greater sense of connection to your self while creating ease, calm and balance.

 

The course will cover: 

Week 1 - Ground
An introduction to yoga, touching on yoga philosophy, pranayama (breath), a break down of sun salutation poses, grounding poses, focusing on alignment and longer hold poses to build strength.

Week 2 - Energise + Flow
An introduction to vinyasa yoga - beginning to weave basic poses together, working more on transition with breath, building up heat in a flow.

Week 3 - Stretch + Unwind
Focusing on gentle movement to stretch targeted areas of the body, moving towards longer hold yin poses, relaxation, and yoga nidra (deep rest/yogic sleep).

Week 4 - Elevate
A combination of everything that we've learnt to experience a more wholesome class so you can elevate your practice in your own way on the mat and taking yoga philosophy into other areas of your life.
