Floor work: Introduction to Headstands and Handstands (Level 1)

Have you ever wanted to master balancing on your hands, impressing family members and friends with your inverted acro skills? Or, do you want to be able to incorporate handstands into your pole and aerial work to build more advanced combinations?

This 8-week Introduction to Headstands and Handstands (Level 1) Course focuses on helping you to master the fundamental principles and learn valuable exercises to build your headstands and handstands. Whether you are a complete beginner, or you are already along your journey to holding your handstands, this course breaks down all shapes, control points and muscle groups needed to hold your headstand/ handstand efficiently. It will build your understanding covering the basis to ‘fix’ any problem that is stopping you from keeping your balance in your handstand/ headstand.

As well as being a great course to learn what you have always aspired to do, this course contains valuable exercises for building core strength and shoulder strength by using body weight exercises.

This workshop will be taught by Tim Sanders, a Senior Acrobat from The House of Dancing Water. Tim has Master Gymnast Status, is a Senior Gymnastics Coach with British Gymnastics, and competed for Great Britain.
