PRE-REQUISITES:
Completion of Introduction to Teaching Aerials workshop or Introduction to Teaching Trapeze prior to 2013.

Be comfortable executing Foundation level skills: this includes, but is not limited to skills under the bar (ankle hang, candlestick), on the bar (front balance, back balance, gazelle, amazon), in the ropes (bird's nest in the ropes), and beginner "velocity" skills such as half mill circles. If you are not sure if you are at the necessary skill level please review the material in the Aerial Circus Training manual by Carrie Heller (provided in the Introduction to Teaching Aerials workshop) or contact Elsie at esmith@necenterforcircusarts.com.

Note that participants who do not meet the required experience level will be asked to sit out the workshop and will not be refunded.

Exceptions to this skill level requirement can be made for teachers with physical limitations that do not hinder their ability to be competent teachers AND spotters at the Foundation level. (For example: someone in a foot cast with previous experience who can still spot and execute some skills, or someone with a shoulder injury who academically knows the skills required and are comfortable spotting.)
