CrossFit Kids

This is not just about lifting weights - each class will be filled with games, fun circuits and a little bit of coaching on how to move safely while exercising.

Our main aims are:

* To help children be active and healthy in a fun and engaging way
* To give children a positive association with exercise and keeping fit
* To instil a lifelong love of fitness
* To provide an opportunity to hone life skills such as perseverance, accepting feedback, working with others


How to book….

Pre-booking is essential as class numbers are limited

You can book for the full term at £5 per class

Or we also offer a pay-as-you-go option at £6.50 per class (places are limited)


Simply find the date of our class you hope to join and select to book the course or a single class.


About your coach…..

My name is Lucie Woods and I am a qualified Crossfit Level 1 and Level 2, as well as, Crossfit Kids coach. I started doing Crossfit four years ago and I can genuinely say it has changed me as a person. I’m fitter than ever but also appreciative of the importance of the right balance of exercise, a good diet and rest in a person’s life.

Basic information

* Clothing - your child should wear something they are comfortable running around in - trainers, T-shirt, shorts or leggings is a good example. A sweatshirt or hoodie will come in handy to start with as the gym can be on the cool side, but we will quickly warm up once moving.
* Drinks - please provide a bottle of water.
* Please arrive 5 mins before class is due to start so as not to miss the start of class. All classes will start on time.
* If you could also ensure your child has been to the toilet and had a snack/drink before arriving.
* Children will need to remain seated with their adult before and after the class, and are not permitted to run around the gym or use any equipment unsupervised. This is for the safety of your child as well as any members using the gym at this time.
* We have a seated area in the gym where parents are welcome to sit during the class.

Safety information

We are able to provide the best possible care for your child while they are at Strong mama’s gym.

* We are fully insured and there will be a first aider on hand at all times.
* All of our activities are specifically designed with the safety of our students in mind.
* Any weights we ‘lift’ will be minimal to (if any to start with)
