Easter Vertical Intensive

Circus Factory is thrilled to bring you a 2-day Easter Vertical Intensive with Elaine Mc Cague

A strong emphasis will be placed on technique in the conditioning and development of dynamic skills on rope (silks will also be available to work on). 

From the ground to the air we will approach the apparatus to cover twists, rope entrances and flairs, and then continue in the air working the necessary methodologies to delve into dynamic tricks, momentum pathways and movement sequences. 

At the end of each session there will be a moment for creative movement exploration with new repertoire learned. Jam packed!!!

The class will consist of a warm-up, stretches focused on shoulder mobility and work with  appropriate progressions to suit differing levels.

Ideally participants will have an ability to comfortably invert multiple times. The class will build on appropriate progressions to suit differing levels.

ABOUT ELAINE MC CAGUE

Interested in contemporary human based circus and spectacle Elaine is an ambitions artist who constructs unique site responsive work in the collaboration and experimentation of the physical, visual and audio scape.

As an aerialist, Elaine performs and mentors specialising in corde lisse, vertical dance and trapeze. Her training has been under various masters of the form, most recently in Argentina but also Spain, London, Bristol, Australia and Belfast.

She is co-artistic director of Loosysmokes, lead artist of the DetacheD.collab and part of the core artistic team that creates the wonderful Jazz funeral street parade in Ballydehob.
