DETAILS

Rebel Youth Ensemble offers an opportunity for young people to learn new skills and discover circus as a means of creative expression, story telling and performance. The course will focus on collaboration and having the young people work together as a group, to create a performance that is lead by their own interests and creativity. This class will utilise a variety of youth work and artistic approaches, including photography, costume design and looking at what it takes to put together a production. The group will be taken to events at Pitchd Circus and Street Arts Festival, to be inspired by professional acts, which we will use towards developing their own show. In order for the group to create a show, we expect the participants to commit to the full term to the best of their ability. The dates below are a guideline for what is expected, however there may be additional rehearsals closer to the dates of the final performance if requested by the group and coaches.

This class will be taught by our Youth coaches Kate Mitchell, Haj Murphy, Blaithin Gallagher and Izzy Dogliani.

This project has been kindly funded by Arts Council YPCE.
