Aerial Silks - Improvers 6 Week Course

As per our student engagement policy, we offer existing students first option on the next round of terms so that they can continue their skill progression. We then release any remaining places on the date as stated above.

The class is suitable for improvers only. Students must be comfortable in hip key and catcher positions from a climb, French and Russian climb, Inversions from a climb and Foot-lock technique.

This 6 Week Course will continue to develop the students strength and essential key skills for Aerial Silks with fluency and control. Further dynamic transitions plus new movements and techniques will be introduced including choreographic sequences.

There will also be continued focus on strength and conditioning exercises to develop the physical preparation required for this beautiful yet demanding art form. 

At the end of the term you will have strengthened your basic skills and technique on aerial silks along with a variety of floor exercises to develop the strength for further progression. We will also demonstrate the importance of safe aerial practice.
 

Arrival 

- Face Masks are required when arriving and moving around the building. Face Masks can only be removed when settled in your assigned practice area. 

- Please arrive no more than 5 - 10 minutes before class starts and avoid congregating at the entrance.

Current Covid protocols in place - Revised January 27th 2022

 - Equipment sharing - Under current relaxation of restrictions we are not longer required to ensure social distancing so we will be podding 2 students per single piece of apparatus.

- Face Mask wearing is still advised 

- Multiple hand santising stations are situated around the building and students and staff are encouraged to sanitise their hands frequently. 

What to bring and wear 

We ask all users to limit what personal belongings they bring into the space however there are a few things you might need: 

- Your own water bottle / hydration 

- Warm layers with close fitting under layers that do not flop over the head when upside down!

- Clean socks - no outdoor trainers allowed on the floors 

- Personal Face Mask 

Please leave all valuables and jewellery at home. Unfortunately Circus Factory nor Collective Cork cannot be responsible for, or hold onto lost property for any duration of time.

Contactless Paperwork 

- All first time user forms (Circus Factory Waiver, Medical History, Emergency Contacts) are required to be filled out online through our new booking system (we have integrated with GoTeamUp booking software) before booking a class. You will be led through these forms after selecting to purchase a class. 

Covid Symptom Checks 

- If you are experiencing Covid symptoms or are isolating from either testing positive, awaiting test results or a confirmed close contact for Covid-19 please do not attend class.

Cancellation Policy in place from January 2022

All 6 week terms carry a 5 day cancellation policy upon the first start date of full course or individual session booked (if available).

This is required due to people on waiting lists and to ensure we can meet our financial commitments to our venue, administration and facilitators.

- All cancellations up to 5 days before your course starts will be fully reimbursed either back to your payment source or can be applied as value of the course as account credit on your GoTeamUp Account to use at Circus Factory at a different time. To cancel from a course you must contact bookingcircusfactory@gmail.com and we can cancel from the administration side. 

Late Cancellations

With the ever changing public advice re Covid we have updated our late cancellation policy to allow partial refunds (50% in individual class value) for a maximum of 2 classes to be missed for over a course of a 6 week term. 

Partial refunds can only be reimbursed as GotTeamUp account Credit only.

Should you wish to unregister from your entire course less than 5 days before the course starts or individual sessions booked (if available) unfortunately we cannot guarantee a refund for your place. However should there be a waiting list and we be able to fill the place then we can reimburse as GoTeamUp account credit only.

In the event that Circus Factory requires to cancel a class at any time, all registered users will be fully reimbursed.
