About Imogen Huzel

Imogen, (she/her), is English, lived in Sweden for a nice cold chunk of her life, studied at Stockholm University of the Arts. She has a BA in circus and is in a deep in the rabbit hole, a strange life pursuit some say. She shoots, develop and print analogy photos, its been her passion for over 10 years. She has a complicated and ongoing love story with Berlin. It’s home, but life usually passes elsewhere. Nomadic life, tour life, circus life.. Living the circus dream is as ironic as it is accurate. She's travelled to over 35 countries with her work, mixing visual art, theatre, dance, live art, and clowning with my circus practice. Like anyone who’s passionate about their profession, it’s become an obsession.. the community, acceptance and the freedom to work all them creative and physical muscles, it's a total privilege! Imogen believes in independent creation, staying away from capitalist commercialism that sucks the soul from art. It's a lot of work to do things differently, but it's the only way. All her creative juices goes into her Co-owned company - Based On Kimberly, with her partner in crime Inka. Check them out on basedonkimberly.com
