Laboratory of Creation | Creative Development and Clown Workshop
Circus Factory Cork is so excited to invite clown, actor, and director Mariano Cronopio Gedwillo to host a Creative Development and Clown workshop through his 'Laboratory of Creation'.
Workshop Details
This intensive workshop is for anyone who is in search of a space for bringing their ideas to reality. Through this workshop, you will discover tools to work and investigate playwriting and composition, and rediscover your creative self. Marino's method will offer clear steps to follow towards canalising and organising your creation. With over 25 years of experience in performing arts, his desire is to help you transform artistic ideas into performance, these tools have led him to countries around the world and to perform in many languages.
During these years, he has dedicated a significant amount of time to the study and understanding of different theatrical styles and their distinct pathways into the creation of performances involving circus, dance, music, poetry and visual arts. As a result of his studies and experience, he has created this creative “laboratory” with an incentive to share his ideas and concepts.
His wish is that each participant could find the key to open the portal of their own creative drive. If you are a curious character who has an implacable compulsion to tell your visions of the world through art, come along, he is sure this space is for you.

About Mariano Cronopio Gedwillo
"I am a clown, actor, director, playwright, equilibrist and juggler. My interaction with the artistic world commenced in 1997, performing in various places in Argentina, South America and Europe. I've taken part in a variety of theatrical and cinematographic projects in Argentina… I've worked in scenography and stage lighting. As an educator following the lineage of Paulo Freire, I've guided, mentored and performed in theatre and circus spaces.
In private spaces such as in universities, festivals, social programs, circus conventions, artistic training spaces, spaces for training as a street social worker, community centres and in self- managed/sustained organisations, I have provided for their workers with tools to improve and aid communication. I aim to prioritise soul over mind."
