'Stick it to 'em' - Flowersticks Workshops
Circus Factory Cork is delighted to host a flower sticks workshop with Madcap.
Workshop Details:
Flowersticks are one of the tougher flow props, but this workshop is perfect for beginners! Join Madcap, with over 16 years of experience as he teaches you the basics of the first flow prop he ever picked up.
No experience is necessary, but other experience with flow or juggling equipment would be advantagous.
We will learn:
* Basic throws, spins and catches.
* The pendulum (THE move that everything else evolves from
* Stalls, catches and helicopters from pendulum.
* How to pick it up (and make it look cool!).

Are there any prerequisites to attend?
No experience needed, but any flow or juggling experience will help.

About Madcap
Madcap brings a childlike joy to the stage all the way from Australia with a combination of unique costumes and a fearless mastery of fire packed behind a cheeky smile. He controls the tools of his trade as if they were extensions of his own body, and controls the audience's hearts the same way.
From humble beginnings spinning plates in his parent’s kitchen, Madcap started out with a set of flower sticks gifted to him by his mother over 15 years ago. Since then he has also become a master of staff, double staff and dragon staff, and is always interested in learning more toys and styles! He is currently focusing on learning more daytime and LED toys, including dragon ribbon, silk fans, buugeng and leviwand.
Madcap is passionate at bringing more people into this amazing community by showcasing world class performances and teaching wherever he goes. He loves performing, he loves dressing up, he loves showing people something amazing that they've never seen before and most of all, he loves creating memories.
He can be found running the local fire circle in Australia, a local, free, family friendly event which has had upwards of 100 attendees. He often travels and teaches around South East Queensland, and festivals around the country.
