Cohesive Craic Workshop at Pitch'd Circus Club
Come one come all! As part of our festival Circus Club, Moss Russell will teach two workshops for performers of all disciplines and experience levels (including none). Whether you dance, act, sing, do stand-up, improv, drag, burlesque, spoken word or of course CIRCUS, this is for you.
These workshops are a wonderful way to approach the amazing community at Circus Factory for the first time as they will meet you where you are and do not require any particular skill or fitness. Physicality is welcome, but difficult and exerting activities are at your discretion.
If just reading all that has your heart in your mouth but also desperate to come, you are welcome to sit quietly and learn. Voyeurism is participation!

What happens when you attune wholly with the people around you? And why is it so fun to watch?! This ability can make for mindblowing performance and life experience and luckily for us, it is a muscle that can be trained. This workshop will be silly and fun, we will work entirely as a group and learn how to focus on our connection with those whom we perform with.

Accessibility
Circus Factory has wheelchair access, though our toilets are currently not accessible. Moss Russell is Autistic and ADHD and can accommodate many types of neurodivergence. These workshops will not require any specific type of movement.

About Moss Russell
Moss's performance career is like an every flavour burrito stuffed with layers of surprising skills and jaw dropping ideas. You may know them best as a frequent emcee of our hilarious cabarets. Her performances often seek to profess her compassion for the world. This has made Moss somewhat of a performance activist, creating acts on environmental, sex work, repeal the 8th, societal inequality, neurodivergence and queer activism.
Moss is a proud AuDHD artist and is deeply inspired by their Neurodivergent children. An absolute refusal to fit into one box means Moss performs drag, dance, burlesque, fire, hula hoop, vocal and clown, as well as writing his own plays, songs and choreographing work for others.
Her latest work seeks to dissolve societal stigma around Neurodivergence. ‘The Wiggle Wagon’, a new walkabout piece capable of traversing many access barriers is currently in development thanks to Cork City Council. ‘Uncouth’ is also in development with Disrupt Disability Arts Festival, thanks to the Arts Council. ‘Squish, Stomp, Spin - The Magic of Stim’ has graced many of Dublin’s best street stages, you can catch it at our Circus Picnic at Elizabeth Fort on Saturday 23rd.
