Masterclass for Silks: Spiral Honeycombs

Circus Factory is delighted to announce this Aerial Fabrics Workshop "Masterclass for Silks: Spiral Honeycombs" with Mimi Ke and Elaine Mc Cague.

October 13th | 4PM - 7PM

Masterclass Details

Re-Introducing aerial vocabulary with the concept of movement spirals, unlocking the connection in our pelvis, hips, spine, head. Using tension to create more space in the body to tell a story in the air. How to enter and exit each movement, where does it start? Where can I go from there to allow more organic movement with more efficiency?

We will work on sequences while building a harmonious spiral of movement between breath and dance, and think in terms of sentences/paragraphs, rather than words/singular tricks. We will aim to deepen our existing knowledge on the apparatus and build the tools necessary for a more personal practice by deepening our awareness, delicacy and sensitivity.

Starting with a spiral, emphasis on rolling in and out of sequence building.

Using c-shaping technique to create a quality of honey & gooeyness

Accents that stay suspended unexpectedly by building breath with movement

Who is the masterclass for?

Intermediate to advanced. The workshop will work to individual levels.
Its a Silks workshop but anyone who wants to work on rope is also fine to join

Are there any pre-requirements to attend?
