Our new beginners kids pack gives you your first 4 classes for the price of 3 to allow the kids to try Fermanagh Ju Jitsu for a few sessions. After you have used your 4 sessions you then choose one of our other kids plans - either unlimited training or once per week training. So Shin David Toney is a 9th Degree black belt in WJJF Ju Jitsu, our National Coach and also Chairman of WJJF-WJJKO 1976 Worldwide teaching seminars all over the world. He is Shihan Lyle's instructor and has been since Lyle received his brown belt in 1995.
In the last few years we have had So Shin Toney with us twice each year to teach seminars to students of all ages and abilities at Fermanagh Ju Jitsu. These sessions usually fill completely so i recommend booking your place asap.
This 3 hour Women's Self Defence Workshop is designed to give women of all ages, backgrounds and abilities an introduction to simple and effective self defence and give you some key skills, knowledge and behaviours that can help avoid potentially dangerous situations and also deal with them effectively should such a situation arise.
This workshop is designed with simplicitiy in mind and will cover concepts that aren't taught in many normal martial arts classes and focuses on the main goal of self defence - Get Home Safe!
We will cover: Stance, distance control, basic strikes and defence against strikes, escapes from common grabs, escapes from attacks on the ground, awareness, diffusion, the law and much more.
This workshop is taught by Lyle Gawley who is a 7th Degree black belt in Japanese/traditional Ju Jitsu and black belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. Lyle has been a professional martial arts and self defence coach since 2004 and has trained in Ju Jitsu since 1993 as well as other martial arts. He also spent 12 years as a door supervisor (bouncer) where he had to deal with hostile situations on a weekly basis. Lyle has been running self defence workshops and courses for over 20 years as well as teaching martial arts on a weekly basis to men, women and children of all ages, abilities and backgrounds.
