2 Day Shear Performance Seminar (4th and 5th May 2024)

Matt and I are excited to be hosting a 2-Day seminar here in Cornwall for progressive shearers who want to improve themselves by looking at all aspects of their shearing performance.

To under estimate the value of a holistic approach to shearing performance would be ill informed given that we have witness first hand the dramatic impact this approach has had to shearers of all experience levels and stages of their careers.

The 2 day in person seminar will include:

Shearing tuition - Matt Smith will take you through some hands on work on your own technique and help you with a series of demonstrations to help you understand how you can improve your pattern to make yourself more efficient and productive.

Nutrition coaching - Learn how we help shearers for prepare tally days and day in day out shearing in mainshear to optimise their performance. I will also help you with the latest in  sports science on how you can practically improve your recovery with a handful of super simple easy to follow steps.

Shearing gear - Matt will be guiding you through his vast experience on how he prepares his gear to help make the job easier. You will also have the opportunity for Matt to look over how you are preparing your gear and ask questions.

Fitness & Conditioning - I will help you understand how simple it can be to set up an environment at home that can help you move towards your peak fitness across a season. When to push hard, how to recover between big days and demonstrate some really effective movements to help undo areas of tension and develop strength where you need it most.

Body maintenance through the season - mobility, passive and active recovery tools to help you stay fit and injury  through the season.

Mindset - last but by no means least. One of the key areas to success in all areas of our lives is developing a resilient mindset to optimise your own energy. We will be discussing how having an open and optimistic mindset enables a positive and adaptive response to change and challenges you will face day in day out. We will also be discussing how you can build open and trusting relationships and being willing to call on these for help and support if facing a challenge. Having a clear sense of purpose and direction to help to move forwards without getting stuck or feeling held back is another area we will be opening discussion around.
