SYD: The Business of Acting with Gary Jones form GJ International Management

TAFTA is excited to offer actors the unique opportunity to learn from leading industry professionals in our brand new The Business of Acting Series, which kicks off in our Sydney Studio on the 23rd of March with Gary Jones form G J International Management.  

As part of this 4 Week in room series, Gary will talk you through the AGENT/ ACTOR relationship and help you understand the process from an Agent's Perspective. Gary will help you put together an irresistible “Actors Package” which includes your headshot, showreel and CV and give you honest, useful feedback on your performance and discuss branding, self tapes, Zoom auditions, call backs, the importance of a good accents, presentation, casting, scene selection and the industry. At the end of the course you will walk away with not only a deeper understanding of the industry and the agent/actor relationship, but you will also shoot a showreel scene that fits your brand.

Gary stared in the Entertainment Industry back in 2001, as a booking agent for an Extra's company Q Talent which he then ran until 2006. In 2007 he founded Management Company Smith and Jones Mgt with his business partner with clients including Caroline O’Connor, Craig McLachlan, Chantelle Barry, Charmaine Bingwa and the late Carmen Duncan. In 2016 he started G J International Management with clients based in LA, New Zealand, Mumbai, and around Australia.
