Improv & Musicality with Lauren MacLeod
Bring artistry to your movement, learn to connect with body so you can improv with ease, and learn specific tips to create beautiful and graceful movement.
Lauren will guide you in getting in touch with your body's movements and become more comfortable with free flow. Explore creative expression through floorwork and dance and learn to bring your own artistry and style to your movement.
What you'll take away from the workshop:
- Don't know what to do with your arms/legs/head/body in an aerial flow? Now you will!
- Improved body awareness and movement quality
- More confidence in improvisational movement and transitions, both on and off apparatus
- More confidence in your body overall!
The workshop is open to all levels and will be a floor class only -- no silks/hoop/apparatus experience necessary
Lauren has trained for 15 years in ballet, jazz, contemporary, and modern dance. She has been a member of Classical Ballet Theatre in San Pedro, CA, PV Peninsula Varsity Dance, and Cal Poly's Orchesis Dance Company. Lauren began training in aerial arts in 2019 and now exclusively trains with SILK Studio in Bishop, CA.
