Teen beginners yoga /meditation (trauma informed)
I feel adolescence can be one of the most difficult periods in a human beings life, and the world we live in today certainly has added a range of external challenges to the mix. I am really passionate about sharing with teens all the tools I wish I had been shown, as I moved through this turbulent time. Last year I taught over 400 teens through the Geelong Cats 'just think' drug and alcohol prevention program, both within schools and also at the Cat's home stadium. It was so rewarding to guide these emerging adults through attunement practices, and show them the absolutely free internal resources they all share and have access to 24/7.
Sessions will include learning practical strategies for managing challenging situations, strong feelings and emotions, and periods of anxiety and depression. This may include breath work, movement to breath, education around thought streams, where they come from and how to manage negative thoughts, mindful drawing, and nature based practices.
De?a is a safe, peaceful and nourishing space where visitors can be supported to find the pathway home to their innermost truth....that we are whole and complete exactly as we are, we have everything we need within to thrive, and our differences from others are to be welcomed, nourished and nurtured.
We are now also taking bookings for one on one session if group session feel overwhelming.
