Baby Massage & Mummy Time (Cranham)

Welcome to the Mum & Baby classes that are as much for Mummy as they are for Baby. Postpartum is dreamy, right? All the newborn cuddles, watching them change each week and time off work. But let’s not pretend it can be lonely, exhausting and challenging too. You need the chance to feel heard, make friends that have babies the same age as yours and to enjoy a cup of tea while it’s still hot! If you like the sound of this, keep reading.

A 6 week course which teaches you how to offer your baby a full body massage along with gentle Baby Yoga movements and stretches too. Each week we focus on a new part of the body and then recap what we learnt in previous weeks to get in all the practice with guidance, so you can then do it more at home. Frequent massage, stretches and stimulation is incredible for your baby’s nervous system & development. When practiced regularly you can improve your baby’s sleep, work wonders for wind or digestion issues and improve symptoms of colic.

So that’s the babies, now the Mums…

A big emphasis is put into the course structure to help all the Mums in the group gel & get to know each other, we don’t do awkward or scary cliques here! After the massage element is finished, there is additional time in the studio to enjoy tea and biscuits (provided in every class) together, because sometimes you just need to be able to sit and have a natter with other grown ups, even if that is still just all about your gorgeous baby. A group whatsapp chat is set up just before the course begins so that all the support and socialising can move further than just in class.
